How To Actually Accomplish Your Goals

Committing to your 2024 goals.

This is some text inside of a div block.

What if I told you that you could actually accomplish everything you desire this year?

Millions of people, worldwide, set their sights on establishing new goals for the new year every year. Whether you write them down or turn them into a vision board or a bingo card, people always seek to accomplish the next thing, check off something, and feel instant gratification. Many videos and blog posts will offer generic advice on how to succeed in accomplishing your goals, but this blog post will get you set down the right path.

Here are Four Actionable Tips For Accomplishing Your Goals

Create A Vision Board

According to an article by Leaders.com, a study of 149 participants showed that 76% had achieved their goals by writing them down, identifying the action steps, and holding themselves accountable for progress. Seeing is believing. You must put your vision for your life before you to consistently remind yourself of what you’re working toward.

Down this same path, this vision board will allow you to clearly visualize and imagine what you desire before it actually comes true. I can attest that creating vision boards does, in fact, work, but what really takes it to the next level is making it emotional.

Pro tip: Create a goal progress tracker to pace yourself as you work towards achieving your goals. What is not tracked cannot be measured and thus cannot be improved.

Get Emotional

Let’s be honest; you will not feel like showing up every day. This is why making your vision board emotional is important. Most people focus on aesthetics but this year focus on emotion. This year, I put a baby picture of my parents and myself on my vision board to remind me why I’m doing what I’m doing. My parents have sacrificed a lot for me to be where I am.

You can add a picture of your parents or anything that will ground you and remind you why you must show up, even when you don’t feel like it. To make it emotional, dig deep into the struggles you or your family members might’ve faced. Think about the real purpose behind why you want to create generational wealth. Is it because your family has always struggled paying for rent? Dig deep; this will get you to take consistent action.

Know Your Why

In everything you do, know your why. Don’t just write down goals for vanity purposes to look good to the outside world; figure out why you want to accomplish this goal. Ask yourself the following:

  • How will you feel when you accomplish your goal?
  • What pain is accomplishing this goal curing for you?
  • Why do you show up every day?
  • What makes you tick?
  • What problem are you trying to solve?
  • How will fulfilling your goal make your life better?

Ask yourself these questions and dig deep into the process. It may not make sense now, but I promise it will make all the difference in accomplishing your dreams.

Surround Yourself With The Right Crowd

I’m sure you’ve heard of the following saying or some variation of it-  you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Surrounding yourself with the right people will create a healthy, competitive environment. If you see those around you killing it, you will not want to be the straggler. This will motivate you to do better and be better.

I hope these tips help take your year and your goals to the next level. May you accomplish everything you desire. Tag @huecapitalco and me @geraldinnoemis to keep us updated on your goals.
